What is most profound is that chronologically, Alpha and Omega are the first and last letters in the Greek alphabet. It means that God encompasses all speech, all meaning, and all history, and there is nothing outside of Him or beyond His sovereign love.
In all things, there is a Kingdom order. John 1:1 sits at the core of all Christian theology: “In the beginning was the Word…” In Greek, the “Word” is Logos, and in the ancient sense, it means more than speech; it means a rational order, a principle of the cosmos.
And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist. - Colossians 1:17 KJV
That means all of your anxiety, uncertainty or unanswered prayer and the seasons that don’t make sense to you; if Logos holds the atoms together, He can hold your life together.
If Logos holds our atoms together, He can hold you through the good and the hard seasons. If you trust Him as Jehovah Jireh, then He will replace your panic with His provision and unfold His purpose in the midst of your need.
If He is the King of Kings, then there is no kingdom on earth that can outrun Him, and if He is LORD of Hosts, then there is no spiritual force that intimidates our King.
Trusting the LORD isn’t blind faith; it’s the most rational response to upheaval in a world gone mad and a people who need us to be a city set on a hill, reflecting His glorious light.
