For thus says the Lord GOD:
Behold, I, I myself will search for my sheep and will seek them out.
(Ezekiel 34:11)
Even when all hope feels lost, the Lord God searches for and seeks you out.
The church may teach you to return through submission or proof of repentance, but God seeks you out.
Jesus says:
What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it?
And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing…
(Luke 15:4–7)
Over time, this teaching has become distorted.
We have shifted from carrying the sheep to correcting them on their return.
As a result, a quiet corrosion has set in, where people are conditioned to believe that submission is a prerequisite and acceptance is conditional.
Are we not called to imitate Jesus?
He does not bargain with the lost.
He goes to them, and He rejoices when He finds them.
