Struggle with commitment?\
“Commit your way to the LORD;\
trust in Him, and He will act."\
Psalm 37:5 ESV\
\
In all your ways do not submit to the world or the things within it, but to the LORD, and place your trust in Him, for He will act. \
\
The Hebrew verb gol literally means rolling something heavy from your shoulders onto someone stronger.\
\
It is not discipline, resolve or performance. It means taking the weight of the journey, all of the uncertainty, fear and decisions, and rolling it onto God.\
\
Take what you are carrying and give to God what only He can sustain.\
\
Trust in Hebrew is not a feeling, orientation or posture, but a reordering of the heart.\
\
It means expecting God to be sovereign, to keep His word, and to provide, protect and sustain you in the midst of your surrender.\
\
This scripture reveals that God will act, not in our strength, desire, plan, agenda or timing, but in His divine agency.\
\
Give God all of the weight, trust in His timing, and watch Him do what you cannot.\
\
Blessings,\
Emp.\
