Join me as we pray. - “After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.” - Acts 4 : 31 (NIV) They did not pray for comfort; they cried out deēthentōn until Heaven responded. The word σαλεύω (saleuō) means to shake, to cause to tremble. It is the same power that shook Sinai and the same presence that opened prison doors. When the Church prays, what is hidden is illuminated and cannot remain unmoved. The early Church were filled (plēthō), not brushed by glory but saturated with it. And they spoke with παρρησία (parrēsia) - fearless clarity born of communion.  Prayer births shaking.  Shaking births filling.  Filling births boldness. Let us pray together for one another’s shaking. God does not merely listen; He moves. He unsettles what is stable to establish what is eternal and holy.
