Are you ministering in your perception, or are you being shaped by Christ?
In John 4, Jesus met a woman at the well and in doing so broke every cultural, political and religious boundary of His time.
A Jewish man speaking with a Samaritan woman was unthinkable.
Jesus did not minister out of perception or what culture, politics, or faith declared acceptable. He ministered out of who He was:
The Christ, the Living Water.
We as a society are too quick to see through the lens of culture, religion, or politics and it risks ministering out of perception instead of transformation. To imitate man instead of Jesus.
The gospel teaches us that we all need Jesus:
“The hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship Him.” (John 4:23)
Let us reflect Christ in how we teach, love and live the gospel, not by our perception or culture but by His truth and living word.
Blessings,
EMP.
