Have you ever considered that Jesus is asking you to redirect your fear? He does not say there is nothing to worry about; He reveals that, no matter the concern, we should redirect our faith from man/world to the Father in Heaven, because He paid the ultimate price.
We must not misunderstand how the Father feels about us; we are His little flock. He desires us to share our vulnerabilities with Him. Jesus reveals that security is not found in numbers or size; it is found in the identity of the good shepherd and our Father, who tends to us and teaches the sheep to recognise His voice.
A flock is a place to belong, and it is the will of the good shepherd; in fact, it is His pleasure that we might receive the Kingdom as a promise.
Being part of His little flock does not mean that we will never feel small, overwhelmed or uncertain. Jesus reminds us that the size of the flock does not determine the size of the promise. Our confidence is found in knowing who our Father is and trusting that He has not forgotten those who belong to Him.
It is not simply the will of the Father to give; Jesus says that it is His good pleasure. We do not have to convince Him to care for us or somehow earn His attention. We can bring our fears before Him, knowing that the Father delights in His children and desires that we trust Him with what we cannot carry alone.
