We don’t block Jesus by our weakness, anxiety or fear but by resistance!
He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” - John 7:38 NKJV
It has become easy to think that because we are flawed, imperfect and in need of Jesus, we can’t have Him. But Scripture makes clear that we have treasure within us, and that the Lord considers it excellent. “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.” - 2 Corinthians 4:7 NKJV
Jesus did not say that He would make us perfect before His return. He ascended to Heaven so the Holy Ghost could come and help us become more like Him; in fact, we are called to come to the LORD like little children.
When a believer becomes traumatised, they begin to feel as though they must perform before God and those around them. A child runs to God with open arms like a Father who never deserted nor forsaken them, and that is always available to you.
May I offer a reminder that you don’t need to manage every outcome or understand every situation? The Holy Ghost ministers to us in the moments we surrender to Him; yielding is part of the process.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. - Philippians 4:6–7 NKJV
He has turned toward you, and He is waiting for you to call His name.
