How does righteousness grow?
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. James 3:17–18 NKJV
The book of James offers an inspirational understanding of the difference between what is pure and counterfeit.
There is no fear of retribution or pressure from man in the way the LORD cultivates our faith; righteousness is formed in a peace that goes beyond understanding and is not dependent on the time or circumstance.
There is power in the tongue, and when we fall into hypocrisy, the first to leave us is purity of spirit and alignment with the will of God.
Those who understand the Holy Ghost will use every opportunity to speak life and life in abundance. We must watch for those who speak destruction, for we will know them by their fruit.
Are you raising the temperature in the room or lowering it? We are not called to inflict our wounds upon others but to align ourselves with the gentleness that comes when we surrender to the process.
Gentleness is like a filter; you cannot have ego when it has been washed by Jesus. Peace does not inflict new wounds because it draws you closer to the throne.
Scripture does not excuse abuse; it shows us how to identify fruit and what it looks like when we draw from the stream of the King.
