Did you know that Easter in the Christian faith follows a pattern?
We often discount Jesus to the cross and His resurrection, and it seems all too taboo that we acknowledge that the beginning looked like exposure, rejection, sacrifice, and vindication.
Have you ever asked who repented in the temple where Jesus exposed the people and drove them out with a whip? Jesus started clearing the house of God (1 Peter 4:17).
And as Jesus began doing this, the people in the temple questioned His authority (Matthew 21:23) and ultimately plotted against Him (Mark 11:18). They did not fall to their knees in repentance.
When we imitate Jesus, the enemy no longer has hold over us, and the plans intended for evil will always turn for good. But it is such a shift that some will question and plot just as the living Word describes, and it is something I have experienced.
When we function in the authority of Jesus Christ and declare the plans of the enemy null and void, we are freed from the trap and snare of the world and begin a journey of being made whole in Jesus Christ, learning to walk in truth even when it costs.
Jesus is my rearguard, and I pray that He is yours, and if He isn’t, then I suggest you pray that He come and dwell with His Holy Spirit within you.
