When Jesus declares His name Alpha and Omega, He is revealing His true identity. Alpha is the first letter in the Greek alphabet, and Omega is the last.
He stands before history was written and will remain after it ends.
He holds the beginning, the journey and the end. He gave His life for us on the cross so that we could have the freedom to choose to follow Him.
Jesus does not visit us on a Sunday and disappear throughout the week. He is not a seasonal, cultural or convenient God. He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
He is the One who was.
He is the One who is.
He is the One who is to come.
When you call upon the name of Jesus, there is power in His name. There is freedom and eternal life.
If He can hold the beginning and the end, He can hold you in the palm of His hand as you navigate this journey of life. The LORD is a gentleman, and all it takes is an invitation to let Him move.
